Covid-19 Special Living Spanish Camp Announcement to our parents.

Dear Learnika Families,

We hope you are keeping healthy and safe on these very challenging days. Before informing you about Learnika reopening news, Learnika staff, Tony, and I would like to express our gratitude for all your messages supporting us over the past three months. We miss our community, your children, and their happy spirit. We would like to let you know that we are going to do everything in our hands to provide a very safe environment for everybody at Learnika during camp hours while offering a very fun, creative, and full of the energy program for our campers. I will be one of the camp instructors ready to welcome you and your child at Learnika’s main entrance door next Monday, June 8th!!

We are thrilled to begin reopening Learnika, welcoming our summer camp students for our first three-week session, June 8 – 26. We have modified our weekly sessions to three weeks to improve safety for our campers. The maximum number of campers is 12. When signing up, parents must decide whether they are comfortable bringing their child to our camp for a period of three weeks. Summer camp sessions:

1. June 8 – 26

2. July 6 – 24

3. July 27 – August 7th or 14 depending on the school starting date for the next school year.

Parents must monitor the daily health of their family and child who is coming to our camp to ensure the health and safety of everyone. We are trying our best to provide a positive, fun, and safe environment within the latest Santa Clara County Health guidelines for summer camps.

Each week will feature a unique theme with fun-filled activities to promote physical movement, safe social interaction, leadership building, personal growth, and creativity.

Campers will be divided into two groups with their own activities according to their age groups. Staff in charge of a group will also stay in the same group for the three-week period.

Please review the important information below about our summer program plans and what to expect when you return to Learnika.

Learnika will open next Monday, June 8th. Camp session hours will be from 9 am to 2:30 pm, there will be no after-care service as of now.

  •  Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.  Children will wash hands when they arrive at Learnika, enter the classroom, before meals or snacks, after outdoor activities, after going to the bathroom, after nose blowing or sneezing, and before leaving to go home.
  • Cover coughs or sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. Clean hands with soap and water, or hand sanitizer if soap and water are not readily available.
